MAKING THE ARMED FORCES YOUR WAY OF LIFE: UNDERSTANDING OFFICER LIKE QUALITIES

SSB is mostly about your personal character. All aspiring officers in the Military are usually curious about how they might build officer-like traits in their personalities. Applicants are assessed based on their character qualities, and SSB then approves or rejects them.

Your suggestion is entirely dependent on how successfully you completed the duties assigned for you throughout the 5 days of this selection process. Our personality is shaped entirely by our childhood and the surroundings in which we have grown up. We have a tendency to pick up information from our surroundings.

The term "personality" relates to a human's way of believing, feeling, and responding. We have basically formed the majority of our personalities, yet we may still grow on a daily basis. In this post, we will discuss how to cultivate or instill Officer like Qualities in preparation for this SSB Examination.

How Can Officer-like Traits Be Improved?

On their tenth try, several applicants are even approved. Your devotion, as well as the time this takes you to attain the tier of recommendation, are important factors for SSB. Let us just glance at what those Officer-like qualities seem to be that this SSB is searching for in an applicant.

Fifteen Officer-Like Characteristics:

• Intelligence that is effective

• Ability to think critically

• The Ability to Express Yourself

• Capacity to organize

• Adaptability in social situations

• Sense of accountability

• Co-operation

• Confidence in oneself

• Initiatives

• Ability to Convince Others

• Decision-making speed

• Perseverance

• Dynamism

• Resilience

• Strength

So now we are going to answer the question how to develop OLQs?

Intelligence that is effective:

We all possess a standard amount of intellect, yet as we get older, we lose interest in learning new subjects. We lack consistency in our thinking, and here is where we fall short. To develop this talent, you must begin by observing events and thinking practically.

Have a strong mental presence. Instead of allowing your thoughts to rule you, work the other way around. Meditation, problem-solving, mental games, as well as other enjoyable pastimes, can all aid in the development of this trait to an adequate level.

Ability to think critically:

This is another crucial characteristic that SSB searches for. Whatever you express must contain a rational justification. You should be able to respond to the question "WHY" throughout the SSB exam in a highly rational and realistic manner.

Reading the newspaper and listening to leading journalists as well as army officers' viewpoints will assist you in forming your own perspective. Instead of attempting to prove oneself in this interview, the greatest solution is to be loyal to yourself as well as be honest.

The Ability to Express Yourself:

This ability may be taught to a point at the school. However, applicants should be ready to express their ideas and views to their superiors crystal clearly.

The greatest technique to improve this trait is to rehearse next to the camera and perform interviews with yourself while sitting next to the camera. This trait may be developed by reading newspapers louder inside your room.

Since an executive is responsible for leading his troops to battle. The strength of his speech must be enough to spark the fire within the soldiers' veins. Studying self-development books can help you stay motivated and maintain a good vibe.

Capacity to organize:

This is just another crucial trait with trainable components that currently play a significant part in SSB selection. How can you keep track of your resources?

You've probably heard the Special Forces slogan, "Less Men Big Impact." This has to do with your capacity to organise and be resourceful.

You may think and behave extremely strategically. You must participate in college fests and serve for the planning committee to acquire this ability. Always make your choice carefully before putting your money.

Adaptability in social situations:

How effectively you can adjust to different situations and individuals would be a very essential trait that SSB searches for in an applicant. How successfully he can gain the public's trust.

The only explanation for this seems to be that an officer should transfer to a different location and regiment every two years. This factor needs the ability to adjust to new individuals.

You should open up with others, establish a discussion, start conversing, and don't restrict yourself in order to grow this talent.

Understand your personal boundaries and self-respect. Everyone should see you as modest. However, don't become emotionally connected to someone, as this might negatively influence your attitude.

Sense of accountability:

SSB searches for cooperation as a fundamental attribute since no force can win any war without this. It's all about collaboration in the army.

The officer must work closely with his soldiers and junior officers. Enjoying team sports such as football or even basketball, as well as participating in team dramas and dancing, can help you strengthen this skill.

Instead of concentrating about yourself, start thinking about your team. Keep in mind that the Military is mostly about selfless devotion to the country.

Conclusion

We've made every effort to provide you with knowledge regarding how to develop OLQs within your personality. Potential Warriors, you must realise that each of these characteristics are intertwined. You cannot fake your ability.

Begin to cultivate these traits right away thus that you may expand your whole personality and envision yourself donning the Olive Green
